Hi Guys,
I already have an old dir655 and i bought a new e1200. on the sheet the specs are similar together, but when i copy paste files on network , dir655 speed is 10x-4x faster than e1200? both of them are 100mbps. how is this possible? am i purchased a useless router and should stick to the old one?!!

Solution
Dlink DIR655 has gigabit wired network interfaces. Linksys E1200 has fast ethernet (100mbit) wired ports.

Edit:
While your old one has better wired connectivity, the wireless is old on both. You can keep the 655 and get a faster AP (for the wireless part) or upgrade to a faster WiFi router (I assume that was the reason you bought the new one in the first place, right?)

Missing lots of info:
Are you connected wired or wireless?
Not sure about your specific model, but some routers have a "Client Isolation" option, that forces the router to process the traffic between clients, try to turn it off If you have it.
both computers connected through wire. but everywhere mentioned that dir655 is up to 100mbps. but it seems 1000mbps.is that right?

And to answer your question, because the dir555 has gigabit ports and gigabit is 10x the 100Mbps ports on the e1200, your speeds are 4x-10x faster on the dir555. :D
Unfortunately yes, i have a dir600 also and i thought Lan speeds are same,i didn't even check ethernet status. o_O
