As stated when I cat5e to my Linksys E2500 the wired connection only runs at around 9.5mbps (I have a 75mbps connection) On my wireless I get 50mbps on my desktop across the room and on my tablet near the router I get around 85mbps. But again if I connect my cat5e I only get 9.5mbps (cable is about 25ft)

I know its not the cable because if I connect directly to my modem I get around 90mbps but once I connect to the Linksys E2500 it drops it 9.5mbps again, power cycling the pc, router and modem does not solve the issue nor does switching ports on the router, the issue lies with the router, but where? A setting?

Thanks!

You know, since I have nothing else wired, and this is a fresh install of windows I did not think to test that, Just did and I get near 90mbps wired from laptop but still only 9mb from desktop. So I decided to test the cat5e cable on the desktop by connecting it to the laptop. Guess what? 9mbps on the laptop then, so i tested all ports again, the same 9mb, so after reconnecting to the desktop and connecting straight to the modem I again get full 90mb, for some odd reason the router does not like this cable, but my modem loves it?

Yes, but the question remains, Why from my modem to pc it works great, from router to PC it does not? (router and modem were right beside each other

So I sudo fixed the problem, I brought the router to the desktop and used the same 25ft cat5e and connected to the router thus allowing me to connect me the router to my pc with a different cable, lo and behold 90mbps wired. Odd it seems like if it (the router) did not like the cat5e from it to the pc it would not work from modem to the router.

Either way I would like the problem solved so I could move the router back mid house.
