Ok so here is the deal

I work for a real estate agency as their IT guy

About 6 months ago I was asked to get a new wireless router, and as the headline states I got us a Linksys WRT120N wireless router.

for the past 2 months we have been experiencing connectivity issues with it, sometimes it will drop 4 or 5 times in an hour, or no one can connect to it, or it just wont show as a wireless connection under windows.

I am wondering if this is a commonly known issue with this particular router, and if so what are known fixes for this, or should we just go out and buy a new router from a different manufacturer?

If you need more information I will give it, I have been given a lot of time to work on thi, but I would prefer to get it resolved soon.

Thanks

It sounds like you are getting interference from other wireless routers that may be close by. Try setting the wireless radio channel to 3 or 9 (the default is 6 on almost all wireless routers) -- alternatively, you could download and run netstumbler or a similar program to see what channels the other wireless devices may be using and set yours to 3 channels away from the others (why I suggested 3 or 9) -- this has always worked for me on every installation I have repaired...
