Linksys wrt1900ac iphone problem

I recently bought Linksys wrt1900ac router on bestbuy and the internet has great performance and I love it... But later on I found it out that on my 5GHz WiFi the Appstore says "cannot connect to appstore" so I thought I had a problem with my iPhone 6 plus with ios 9.0.1 firmware update so I used my carrier (T-mobile) and it was working just fine and so I changed my internet connection to 2.4GHz and it work just fine but idk what to do with my 5GHz. Should I return it or is their ways to make it work? Thanks!

Start by manually setting the 5Ghz to channel 40. Some devices have problems with upper channel numbers. 40 will work just about everywhere.

I already changed the channel to 40. But it still doesnt work.

With only 1 data point it is difficult to diagnose a problem. You are going to need another 5Ghz device to isolate a problem. I don't have an iPhone so I am not much help with Apple products.

I reseted my iPhone's settings and it works just as a new phone.
