Linksys WRT54GL Firmware?

Hello, I'm thinking of upgrading my Talktalk router that came with my broadband to a Linksys WRT54GL which is said to be an amazing router, but only with the right firmware.

How would I go about actually changing my router and can anyone recommend firmware that works well with it? Thanks in advance 🙂

Well there are many firmware's you can get. You can stick with either the Stock if you like or you can go with either Tomato or DDWRT (My Personal Favoriate). They both have detailed info about setting up their firmware.
