Linsys Router Password not working

I have a Linksys router I've been trying to get online to secure. Everywhere I look it advises to use http://192.168.1.1 typed into the browser and the password of admin

I've done that- but it keeps telling me this is the wrong password. I also tried the wifi password as well. None work, and I know I haven't changed it. Is there a way to reset it?

Google your exact model number and "factory reset". For example "linksys EA4500 factory reset"
