I posted it here since I needed a special command (tested it won't work) and get results for answer.
I installed Linux Arch on my older computer via bios mode (my computer uses bios, legacy) I rebooted it as the instruction said but when it loads, it ends up in a DOS looking grub>
shell it has limited commands like (Pacman...) I looked at this guide with no results:
https://www.linux.com/training-tutorials/how-rescue-non-booting-grub-2-linux/
i got errors of "unknown file system" and others "you need to load kernel first"
i had installed the loader like that (the last thing was done on chroot-arch#)
installed like that: pacman -S grub
(installs grub)
then i typed:
grub-install --target=i386-pc /dev/sdb
(it installed with no problem and errors)
i have Master Boot Record
a system with 2 hard drive partitions
and I installed Linux Arch on my 2nd drive (sdb)
