ok windows xp or linux i really want to get linux but am afraid of drivers games issues but like the stabliy and not much virus and stuff ok here the question windows xp pro $239 AUS or linspire $150 AUS iwant linux because of it stablily cause i leave my computer on 24/7 but windows seem user friendly and i'm pretty much use to it i would really like to move from windows to linux, so can u guys tell me how u found changing from windows to linux if u had used it b4 i would like your feed back

alright thanks i have a formating coming up soon so i will try the duelboot btw how was your first exprience at usin linux? was it easy and can u play games on it well?

Gaming on Linux is hard. I'd get Windows XP, and download a free version of Linux. Linspire is Linux trying to be Windows if I remember correctly, so you're kinda defeating the purpose of switching.

yea true but i'm looking for stablity because well after 2 weeks windows sucks program start crash and stuff the duel boot sound really nice but hows file tranfer from linux to windows or say i'll burnt a movie file from linux will it still play on windows?

btw if i installed windows with the FAT32 partion instead of NTFS does that mean i can swap data freely between the 2 operation system? like copy cut and paste?

If you're having stability problems don't blame XP, it is stable as a rock 99% of the time. Blame crashes of user error / poorly coded 3rd party apps.

1st Question - Yes
2nd Question - Yes

That's a good idea. I had an XP/SuSE 8.0 dual that was stable until my 420w PSU died and used my old 350watter until I could get a new one. The Linux platform was stable and the windows kept crashing. Problem was my Radeon was sucking too much juice out of the PSU. Other than that XP was stable. Go figure...
