Linux XP the replacement for Windows XP??

Came across this http://www.linux-xp.com/ My question is do you think that would be able to play games such as, Counter-Strike: Source and other STEAM games?

Don't bother with Linux XP. It's way behind and the kernel is only 2.6.15. Very few of the packages are up to date and besides, it uses Gnome...

Any of the other distros can run Windows apps and games. It just depends how you configure. Most use WINE to run Windows programs or games. The driver utility ntfs-3g is becoming standard for accessing Windows partitions and files.

Try Ubuntu 7.10 and Fedora 8

ok I was just checkin because their info sounded good. I currently have ubuntu 7.10 just wanted to know if that linux xp was better

You're better off with Ubuntu and or Fedora they are a lot more up to date and they release new stuff really fast, especially Fedora.

So they are far more likely to provide the latest drivers from nvidia and ATI and the latest WINE releases as well as the latest kernel.
