I'm running a Sapphire R9 290x GFX card and I'm planning on using a closed loop liquid cooler for it. I'd like to get either the NZXT Kraken x61 or x41 to go with the g10 mounting bracket. I don't plan to overclock my card much, my intentions are more to keep the card cooler and take some stress off it. Would I need a 280mm radiator, or would i be fine with a 140mm?

Thanks.

especially if you're not overclocking, the rule of thumb is one fan space per component. so the 140 will be sufficient. i'll add though that unless your tower for some reason unable to dissipate the heat from the card, its fans should be perfectly fine to keep it sufficiently cooled.

Never heard of that rule, but i'll look into it, thanks. I went with the 280mm radiator and dual fans in the end as I found a good deal on it.

Thanks for the reply
