Hi everyone,

So a couple of months ago, i built my very first gaming rig, equiped with a Sapphire R9280x Vapor-x

The card has performed fairly well at ultra settings in games like BF4 and Tomb Raider, but with a price, the fan noise...I think its very annoying especially in stealth games...

So i decided to try cooling the card with a Corsair h100i (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Extreme-Performance-Liquid/dp/B009ZN2NH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398372101&sr=8-1&keywords=h100i) and a Kraken G10(https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/138-kraken-g10-gpu-bracket.html).Since i am new at liquid cooling i dont want to do anything more complicated than this...

Will i see any difference with the noise of this cooler compared to the stock fans of the card??

thanks in advance

The thing about liquid coolers is that they also have fans in their own radiators. The H100i is a CPU cooler and it will not fit on your GPU.

As for the G10, I don't have any personal experience with that cooler but if it works as advertised it could be quieter than your stock cooler.

Are you 100% sure that it's your graphics card that's being noisy? That graphics card's cooler isn't known for being especially loud. It's quite possible that the fan noise is coming from somewhere else, like your case fans, CPU cooler, or PSU (if your computer is at or near full load).

Open up your case and listen to all the fans individually before buying an aftermarket GPU cooler.
