does the MasterLiquid Lite 120 All-in-one CPU Liquid Cooler perform better than a air cooler? and how effective is it with a overclock? here is a link to the cooler.

Generally, the 120mm liquid coolers are no better than the good air coolers. Just more expensive and probably noisier.
You don't get better with liquid until you go to 240mm or larger.

well my son is using a 20 dollar deep cool 3 heatpipe air cooler, and hes running a i5 7600k and a msi z270-a pro motherboard with a slight overclock and his idle temps are around 45c to 55c and around 60c to 68c under a load. I couldn't believe it. I'm using a corsair h105 liquid cooler on my i5 4690k and asus z97 board.
