[SOLVED] Liquid metal accident

I was applying liquid metal on my cpu die, but I didn't realise that some had gotten on the contacts under the cpu. The system wont turn on anymore so does this mean the cpu and motherboard got shorted?

This is your answer. There is no way to fix the CPU. Hopefully, the motherboard is intact.

I managed to fix the problem. I guess the metal was shorting the cpu so I removed it and it fixed the problem.

Using isopropyl alcohol

I am truly surprised that it worked and that the CPU wasn't permanently damaged. If all is 100% intact, you were VERY lucky.
