Put simply, I like making sure the computers I use work the way they should. I just got a new job, and the work computer has 1GB of RAM, a single core processor, and is almost 10 years old. Since I started using this, I've gotten really into maintenance. Previously, I was a CCleaner and a defragmenting sort of guy, with the occasional Disk Check every year or so. However, I've now expanded my maintenance to-do list to include boot defrags, dusting the ancient heatsinks, etc.
So, my question, is what ELSE can I do to increase performance? Is there any other scans, various tasks, chinchillas, or anything else I can try?
