I really don't understand what are the most important differences between the two:
LTD-163: DVD16X/CD48X E-IDE DVD-ROM, SMART-X, ABS mechanism
LTD-165: DVD16X/CD48X E-IDE DVD-Multi®, DVD-ROM, SMART-X, ABS mechanism

well one isn't out yet and the other is. One reads more format than the other, but guess what? the new formats arent' exactly around yet either. get the ltd-163, there is no point in waiting.
