Hi all,

Mistakenly plugged a 6 pin PCI power lead into the motherboard 6 pin power. Needless to say I fried something.
after fixing wiring on power up no post, no display, etc
I'm thinking the cpu but possibly the motherboard, memory modules as well. Can I get opinions on what I took out ?

fyi it's a gigabyte ga-b250-fintech m/b w intel i5 proc

thanks

I would think (as above) that parts of the motherboard would have failed before reaching the CPU. I would likely test the PSU and make sure it's outputting expected values. I would be wary of spending much for replacements on a platform of that age. If you really come down to thinking more than just a mobo replace, it would likely be best to consider an update.
