Question Little brother broke his PC....

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you could help me out.

My little brother has zoostorm prebuild that he used to game on but somehow he's managed to fry the CPU and it runs constantly at 100% in task manager.

Below is the link to the current mobo inside the PC.

Could someone recommend a good CPU that will run most games hopefully on medium settings. He's already got a 1060 inside.

Have you ruled out virus/malware causing the 100% CPU usage?

How exactly did you determine that?
What cpu btw?

Did you try cleaning the pc from viruses/malware?

does the PC work? in which case nothing is broken, and replacing a CPU will do nothing for you.

It's either software and something he's downloaded is consuming all of the CPU resource, or it's cooling related and it's running at 100% because it's throttling and is running very slowly.

Frying CPU would result in being unable to run at all, not 100% usage. That can be result of contaminated Windows only.
