Question Little help please 🥺

Hey all.
I've been rebuilding my old system and recycled what I could including an Asus P6X58D mobo and i7 920 chip. I bought a used Asus STRIX Gaming 8gb gpu and installed. I powered up and I'm getting a "no hdmi signal received from device" message on my monitors. Unfortunately I already unloaded my old cards on ebay so I don't have an alternate route into my bios. Feel like I goofed kinda hard here.
Both power lights on the card are green, fans are spinning, from the outside all looks well.
Any ideas folks?

Well I bought a low end card to try to get some display so I can get drivers for the 1080 onto the machine. I'll see how it goes.

The card is still supposed to work, even if there are no drivers.

Did it run with the low end card installed?

I haven't received the temp card, just bought it this am on ebay. Also ordered a couple of display port to hdmi cables to see if the 2 dp ports are enabled but hdmi's are not.

I have tried 2 cards now, no results.
I'm sending them to someone for testing.

So here's the final: while messing around in the case I bumped the 4 pin atx connector to the board enough to disconnect. After re-seating it I tested the cards again. The 1080 is dead. A $600 lesson on why not to buy used components on ebay as they clearly do not enforce their 'buyer-protection' program. The 970 is working fine even though it arrived bent.
So I'm up and running and have a new Sell Only policy on ebay.
