Hi Experts,

I have an Acer V15 Nitro VN7-591G-72K6 laptop with: GTX860M (60FPS), 16GB and 1920 x 1080.

I like to play FFXIV, it is the only game that I play. Lately I started to think about get a ultra-wide curved monitor to use with my laptop however; I have no idea where to start. I don't even know if buying one of those I would be able to extract the maximum of their capabilities(high full wide resolution, high FPS).

I've been thinking in one of these two models:

29" - LG 29UC97C-B
https://www.amazon.com/29UC97C-B-Curved-UltraWide-2560X1080-Display/dp/B010PLPARG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504984137&sr=8-2&keywords=LG+29UC97C-B

Perks:
- Cheaper
- Smaller (Require less from my laptop)

Or

34" - Acer XR342CK
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XR342CK-bmijpphz-UltraWide-FreeSync/dp/B01JYT9L4I/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1504983570&sr=1-1&keywords=acer+xr341ck#Ask

Perks:
- Better Immersion Feel

What do you think?

Thanks for any input in advance! You are the good souls from the internet! The wisdom spreaders!

The difference with built-in laptop LCD and the external ones you've listed is horizontal resolution. Check with display driver on your laptop what are supported resolutions, I can't tell that just because I don't have your laptop. If it is not listed, ask your laptop' support.
Thank you! Although this is not an easy information to retrieve at least for me.

Would it apply to both scenarios? The 29" display looks to operate on maximum 1080 - IPS Display21:9 Curved UltraWide FHD (2560x1080) display.

I'm towards to minimize the risk, costs and try the LG.
