Oh, really? So I can just install it right away?

Yes! Use a good thermal compound such as Arctic Silver 5 and install per manual. Most people use after-market heatsinks for better performance, but you can try first with the stock heatsink.

Well...no idea what that little tab with fingers on either side is. May be the pressure plate from inside the heatsink where the locking arm presses down under the fan to get even pressure onto the heatsink. *shrug*

On the bright side...this is a perfect reason to upgrade your CPU cooler. The stock cooler on the FX 8350 is BARELY adequate, and it will hit ~55-60c under full load at stock clock/voltage.

I'm not OC'ing so I don't really want to buy a new cooler, also, one thing I noticed is that the locking arm is stuck all the way to one side, I can move it up and down but I can't slide it to the sides :S

Ok I finally got the locking arms unstuck, one side was way too up so it would hit the plastic part of the fan and it couldn't go back down, had to push it with a screwdriver from the top side and its ok now. I just want to make sure about this little piece before installing anything...

Usually, nothing on a heatsink comes loose. Follow instructions and install.

OK, lucky, I didn't listen to those who said it wasn't important and it was supposed to come off and I took of the fan and found what it was, it's a little piece that goes between the fan and the heatsink, on top of the locking arms and it prevents the locking arms from hiting the fan and getting stuck, which was exactly what happened to me

The instructions would have explained in detail how to install!

The thing is that this piece was not supposed to come off, it just came off cause I moved the arms too much apparently, install instructions say nothing about it

Are there no pictures in the instructions manual? Usually the instructions are very thorough, and there are no loose pieces on the heatsink. The only parts that are separate are the mounting arms and screws. Those may require adjustment during installation.

I also have the same thing Chapi Chapz had. I'm not sure yet where to put it back.

It prevents the arms of the clip to mount the fan to get stuck he said, something like that. That is really painful if it was to be left.
