little to no fps increase while running SLI

Hello all, recently, i installed a new motherboard, heat sink, and a second 760. i made sure both cards were in the correct PCI-E x 16 slots and the SLI bridge was firmly attached. I also enabled SLI on the Nvidia control panel. While running games like Battlefield 4, Far Cry 3, and Assassin's Creed 4, i noticed i got almost no fps increase. Please help me and thanks in advance.

This may sound silly but oh well. I just built my computer last weekend. SLI 970`s, first time ever. I enabled SLI in the nvida controls but must have forgot to click apply changes .

sadly, no. i just checked now and GPU-Z confirms my SLI is enabled.

What's your resolution? Do you have the 2gb or 4gb version of the card? If you are running at higher than 1080p and only have 2gb VRAM, it's possible (doubtedly) that the resolution is too high and the VRAM is the bottle neck.

But if you're at 1080p or have the 4gb cards, then I really don't know.

Yeah it is def not running SLI .

Another weird request........... enable SLI in nvidia control panel... restart pc and open up nvidia control panel and see if SLI is still enabled.

i restarted my pc multiple times since i got my card. i upgraded my pc on friday

Are you running in windowed mode while doing this? Multi-GPU setups do not work in windowed mode.

Also, just so you are aware, AC4, at least for many months after release, does not support multiple GPU's. FC3 does, however.

Test FC3 without V-sync. And do not use borderless windowed mode either. it is the same deal as normal windowed mode, just in case you are trying that.

With v-sync on, your FPS get capped at your refresh rate, so you likely are at 60 FPS and just don't need a boost in BF4, and the few times it drops lower would most likely be due to CPU restrictions. That's not a good test unless you have a super high res or refresh rate.

AC4 just doesn't use SLI. Nothing you do will help.

FC3 should see a boost, but FC3 has a lot of stuttering issues, which are magnified with SLI/CF, so you may not like the results.

yes, i run all my games in 1080p on a 60hz monitor and my CPU is an AMD eight-core 4.29GHz

ok, bf4 runs max at 90 fps but around 50 when theres alot of explosions and fire. i feel silly now becuase both my cards are working equally. i tested it with ac4 and that was stupid of me. Thanks man i really appreciate it.
