live comm failure

Event logs show that Windows Live Comm.exe hangs and then either fails or has a hard time communicating. Cannot find Live Comm in the registry of services. Running Win 8.1 on Lenovo A730 PC.

livecomm.exe is the process used by the Mail, Calendar and Messages app in Windows 8 for background syncing. If you don't use those apps, you can uninstall them by going to the start screen and right clicking the messaging app and clicking uninstall. If you would rather fix the problem than remove it, it is probably having a connection issue, so make sure you pc is connected to the internet and that a firewall isn't blocking it.
