Hello I have an issue with my live gamer hd capture card. I cannot use the capture card at all as the Recentral software keeps saying that the "Device is busy, Please close the software in conflicts first.". This is very frustrating and I've already submitted a ticket to the avermedia customer cupport but if anybody has any solutions I would be extremely grateful!

Thank you!

Solution
Have you tried removing card from pci slot and reinstalling it. I use it on a separate computer capturing a gaming comp. Also make check your processes in task manager to see if any apps are open that would use the card as a resource. Finally do you get picture on the computer monitor

Yes I have and it still doesn't work, OBS knows the card is there but when I try to preview all I get is black screen. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

The thing is that it's mainly for console gameplay rather than pc content. You can definitely record pc but it's more of switching up the cables rather than a default setting of the device

"Live Gamer HD is a PCI-E card that helps you record and stream your game footages up to 1080p. Designed specifically for gamers who capture/stream gameplay via PC, this highly-compatible PCI-E capture device comes with on-board H.264 hardware encoder, which materially lowers CPU usage and brings you smaller file size for post-editing.
Live Gamer HD also supports a wide range of resolutions; it fits into most PC platforms. Meanwhile, it adopts HDMI connection for inputting different game consoles; the HDMI pass-through function guarantees smooth HD gaming experience even while recording, which consumes considerable CPU usage under general PC.
On top of that, it can be directly connected to streaming platforms; you can even add live commentary when streaming up. From now on, sharing or preserving your legendary matches is no longer a dream."

Says this is mainly for pc.

Note: Upscaling is not supported
Chroma Subsampling Input/ Pass-through:YUV 4:4:4
Capture: YUV 4:2:0

Says it only handles 1920x1080p (60p ) then it says " Note: Upscaling is not supported ".
Also notice there is no 1920x1080 ( 60 ) under the " Capture " section.

I would try turning down your resolution on the ps4/XboxOne/etc to 1280 x 800 (60p). Or drop to 30 @ 1920x1080.

Also says: " the HDMI pass-through function guarantees smooth HD gaming experience even while recording, which consumes considerable CPU usage under general PC."
What are your specs?

I tried lowering the quality but nothing changed, the default "profile" is 1920x1080 @ 30fps. I think it has to do with the actual hardware detection. For some reason the computer and the software are talking correctly. I'm just going to wait to hear back from customer support and hopefully they can fix it. If not I'll just try a new one.

Thanks for trying though bud.

Shit I hit the wrong button and now it says it's been solved but it hasn't. But yea I've done all those things and yes I do get the pass through so I really don't understand why it won't fully work, it's just when I try to record or use it with OBS it doesn't pick it up.

I'm in the same situation. pass-through works for me but still get black screen in RecCentral 2
XSplit shows as camera not available / occupied

Were you able to solve this issue?
