My capture card starting crashing and having some pretty bad issues, I originally attributed these issues to the fact some files probably got messed with after I had a malware probably, which prompted me to do a complete system wipe.

However while the device no longer crashes the device seems like its buffering whenever I look at the record and preview window its jumps and skips. Using the newest software as well as firmware on this system

Here is a video : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i0f-VqchsGl2RdykU-rx62SE67-Hrh6lVQ/view

Now tech support wants me to just replace the device but having tried the same device on my laptop the device seems like it works fine.

As per request of a friend I went and installed a USB 2.0 Card on my PC to see if maybe it was the USB ports on my system the problem still persists.

So that leaves me with three option, either some is borked on my PC even after a fresh install, ALL the USB ports are bad, or the device itself is bad.

My System: 8320 FX, 16 gigs of GSkill Ram, GTX 970

1| When you list your specs, please list them as:
CPU:
Mobo:
Ram:
GPU:
SSD/HDD:
PSU:
OS:

2| Have you made sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date?

3| Likewise have you made sure your device drivers are also up to date? You're on an AMD platform so are you running the latest Crimson chipset drivers from AMD?

4| Since the people offering support have asked that the device be returned I'd ask you to follow suite and see that a followup is provided to you. One of the underlying problems with capture cards like the one you have whereby they rely heavily on firmware updates means that the technology isn't perfected.

5| Speaking of perfected, just because it seems to work on your laptop doesn't mean it's doing it's job properly. In fact what are the specs of your laptop? Are they both on the same OS?
