Live tiles - Where are they stored?

Trying to create a script that will manipulate (remove) live tiles from the start bar.

Can't edit layout.xml, use gpedit or perform manual removal as the script needs maximum compatibility for Windows home edition and single-profile installs.

Can anyone advise where live tiles are stored including 'suggested' tiles that download via Windows store when clicked on?

Folder locations or whatever... Tried the advised registry keys but they don't disable the tiles.

Back in Windows 8.0, I couldn't stand the tile menu and being unable to get rid of the stuff Microsoft insisted on shoving in my face. I solved all of those issues by installing Classic Shell to restore the classic start menu.
