[SOLVED] Lm under ihs and liquid cooler still 98c

I applied liquid metal under my overclocked x3440 Xeon IHS, and with a hyper 212 evo acheived 50c under full load, (I'm using thermal grizzly kryonaut as well for paste) which is extremely impressive in my opinion. I got a liquid cooler for it and now temperatures are in the tj Max, what did I do wrong? It's extremely frustrating and I don't know what the issue could be

When you got the new cooler did you apply new paste or use the paste it comes with? You didn’t leave plastic on the contact plate of the cooler did you? I’m guilty of doing that once.

I made sure to take the sticker off, and I used a fresh thermal grizzly kryonaut application. I can here liquid flowing through the tubes, so I imagine it is working fine .... But that's why I came here cause it ain't working

If you think it's flowing then the only other reason to ever get to 98c is a mounting issue.

If it works with previous cooler then its probably 1 of 2 things.

Either the pump is not functioning, which you said you can hear/feel the liquid circulating.

Or it is not making proper contact with the cpu ihs.

If you think it's flowing then the only other reason to ever get to 98c is a mounting issue.

Hahaha the caps on my board prevented it from being mounted the way I wanted to. I get 16c better temps now, 34c under full load
