Load problem

I really didn't know where to put this so I thought I would try here...

I recently built a computer and it was working great with vista and now I have installed windows 7 and none of my games seem to work..


I installed COD 4 Demo to try it out and when I open the program the screen goes black and nothing happens. Control Alt Delete doesn't work, windows key doesn't work, nothing. Basically I have to hard restart the computer.

Any suggestions or ideas why this is happening? I have installed the latest drivers and bios for everything..

Did you do an upgrade or a clean install? If you did an upgrade, go back and do a clean install, upgrades dont always go well.

i'd start with the basics...
make sure you have all the latest drivers...
if you did a clean install you need to make sure u've installed all the drivers for your hardware.
Try running the programs as an administrator.

I have done all of the basics..

Tried compatibility mode, tried admin, tried unistalling and reinstalling drivers, this problem seems to be more then just me.. its all over the internet but no one has a solution yet

Also it seems to only be full screen games, not windowed games.

I guess i'm just lucky
have you tried repairing the OS with the installation disk?

No thats a good idea.. I can try that in a bit when i get home.
