Do I need to load Office in each identity to show desktop icons for each
product, e.g Word, Excel, Publisher?

Thanks,

Many software programs use installation routines that are not "Multi-User aware".
Therein lies the problem. Try placing a shortcut to the program in the All Users account
(C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs). This should make the
program available to all users.

Hi Karen,

Office, versions that run in XP anyways, will install for all users. Just
drop shortcuts in these folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

Most, if not all current MS products are multi-user aware (definitely
includes office since version 2000 I'm confident on), and will ask if you
wish to install for "Anyone who uses this computer" or "only you" - or
something to that extent.
