Local Area Connection adapter shuts off every time I pull computer out of sleep mode

I recently installed a new SSD and GPU, as well as an upgrade to Windows 7.

However I have a problem - every night when I go to sleep I also put the computer into sleep mode. The next day when I pull it out of sleep mode, the Local Area Connection adapter disables, making it so I can't access the internet at all. Every time this happens my computer is unable to diagnose the problem, so I'm forced to restart the machine and only THEN is it able to diagnose that the LAC adapter has been shut off.

So far I've been able to fix it every time it happens, but it's still pretty annoying to deal with. Is there a more permanent fix to this problem?

Here are my specs:

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Motherboard: Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H-B3
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500 @ 3.30 GHz
Ram: G-Skill Ripjaws 2x 4GB Ram (8GB total)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
HDD: Samsung 1TB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
