local disk C getting filled automatically.

my c drive is getting itself filled....im on windows 8.1 please help resolving this issue.I ran windows defender scan but nothing was shown negetive.please help me solve this issue!

Seriously if you really have a Malware, am out. But if this is happening RIGHT NOW, I would first disconnect myself from the Internet, do a reboot, and note whether it's doing it again, and look for files that are being modified, say the last 30 minutes, the file name(s) and location(s) may give you a clue whether it's some run-away application you just installed.

p.s.: Oh there is another thread about the machine indexing, u may want to turn it off.

If we assume that your system is not infected, then it is most probably creating restore points. You need to adjust your System Restore settings and reduce the space allocated for that. Also, you can delete previous restore points.
