Local disk D is not accessible in my hp laptop

I can not access my local disk D, it has even dissappeared from the computer menu. but when i try to go in Computer/manage/storage/disk management, i can see it appears in that menu with no drive letter D, please help me on this because all my books are in that local disk D.

Right click in the disk management window and choose "assign drive letter" or similar.
