local disk is not showing

I recently installed new windows 8.1. My previous version of window 8 was having 5 local disk. But after installing new window it is only showing 4 local disk. And my fith local disk with very important data is missing. I checked the disk management but it is displaying fifth disk as unallocated space.
Please suggest me a solution how can I recover my local disk as it contain very important data.

STOP using the PC.
Turn power off, then run data recovery software on the HDD in another machine.
The more you use the PC, the more likely you'll write over the sector(s) containing your data.
