It's a very ambiguous question. Possibility of IP detected by whom? By Facebook? yes. By the government? yes. By 3rd party apps that have your explicit permission to track your location/IP? yes. By random Facebook users? no. Someone finding out your IP doesn't reveal as much data to anyone as the paranoid people on internet think. IP doesn't reveal your name or home address or contact details. It is a temporary (but not unique) identifier that serves as a gateway route to and from your ISP. Someone knowing your IP will, at the most be able to tell your ISP's name and the city you reside in. It is your MAC aaddress that uniquely identifies your device as being yours.
