Question Lock My PC (Software) ?

Hi All,

I cannot find a stable answer on the net ... as many queries in google come back as windows login etc ...

Can anyone verify and or explain to me what this software is (see image please) as I do not recall seeing this before and really am unfamiliar with it.

if you don´t know it, uninstall immediately, or your PC might lock you out. Without appropriate password, windows won´t be usable anymore. Often used by scammers to get ransom.

Yes I agree however this may be part of microsoft therein if i do as you say without knowing i may lock myself out of the system if valid ... therein again I pose the question who knows about this software is it from microsoft or malware ... please do not respond if you are unsure and share that is or is not valid software ... thank you so much!

is it a company system? Ask your IT team.

with sysinternals, you can findout yourself if it´s from Microsoft or not, but I highly doubt it.
