[SOLVED] Locked frame rate vs G Sync unlocked ?

Hi,

Quite new to PC gaming and just wondering what’s best in the below situation..

I have a 144hz monitor and a game that is bouncing around anywhere between 90-135fps if I leave the framerate unlocked. Even with G Sync on I feel like it seems a bit juddery even at those high frame rates..

In general, am I better to lock at a lower frame rate say 90fps that it can hit consistently or leave it unlocked to hit the higher fps when it can?

You might be running into some issues as you near 144FPS; VRR/Vsync gets a bit wonky as you hit the crossover point. Try setting a maximum FPS limit of ~134 FPS and see if that helps.
