Locked Latop HDD Password

so I'm desperately trying to fix what a scammer does to my friend. that scammer put a password on the hdd.(just to get a reason for him to change the hdd) and it seems like the bios was kinda set for it to cut power every 80secs. is there any tool in hbcd to fix this and how to if someone has this problem before. or, if you know what to do with this bios hack that would be great to know if i know how to completely reset the bios. because i tried with other hdd it turns off every 80secs as well.
