[SOLVED] locked touchpad on ACER laptop

This Acer laptop worked correctly until yesterday. Today the touchpad does not work. The settings panel shows the control but does not re-enable the touchpad. What are my options?

Hey there,

Which exact laptop? Make and model? It probably just a function key to disable the touchpad. Lots of modern laptops have this function. Typically you press the FN key along with an F key to turn on/off touchpad. Check you haven't accidentally done that. it's very easy to do.

Hey Thanks! That was it. It was the F7 function key.

I would love to do that but I do not see it as an option. I am visiting my sister and it was her laptop.
