Locking all cores @ max turbo i7 4790 +Asus B85??

Hi,

couple of days ago i got i7 4790 (non K) with Asus B85M-G motherboard for cheap price, I used to have i5 4590 with MSI B85 P33 mobo where I can run all cores at max turbo speed of 3.7ghz.

However on the new setup (i7 4790) I'm unable to run all cores @4ghz as I used to do on the i5 4590, I tried everythink, I locked all cores and cache turbo at 40 in bios, but it only looks them at 3.8ghz all the time.

i tried to downgrade the bios to the 2nd oldest version as the first version didnt work, but now luck, tried using AI suite 3 with no luck also, I tried few changes in bios setup with no luck also.

I know its not much 200mhz, but it might stop or minmize FPS drops.

or do you have bios number from Asus that works for this? to enable BCLK for CPU??

200MHz on i7 won't change anything. you should not have significant drops anyway.
You can try to play with CPU power limit if it is available at all.
though I wouldn't recommend doing so as the MB has extremely weak VRM.
