Hello everyone, I just got a "gaming" laptop from Dell, its got an i7 7700hq, and a gtx 1050 ti.
Now I am playing Fortnite, my monitor is 1080p and the gpu is not delivering consistent 60fps, so I lowered the 3D Resolution to 900p, ,even tried to 720p, but I noticed that my fps are barely going any higher, it only decreases the gpu usage to lik4 50% at 720p and like 70% at 900p.
My question is, shouldnt lowering the 3D Resolution run the game at faster framerates while still using all the gpu power it can?
How comes the lower the resolution, the lower the GPU usage? Shouldnt the GPU be used at its full power and deliver the max FPS it can no matter the resolution settings?
