Log-in ID

I'm using Windowsxp home edition and have previously been able to click the
(log-in ID box) and my ID and password would pop up automatically with out
entering any information.
Recently, I must manually enter the ID and password each time I log-in to
that site.
One time a question box, "Do you want windows to remember your ID and
password displayed" and I chose yes.
I still must enter both manually even after choosing the (remember) option.
The other secure sites I visit, still remember the this information when the
ID box is clicked.
I contacted this site about my dilemma and they claim nothing has been
changed on their end.
Is there something I need to do on my end to get this automatic log-in
feature back for this site?
Thanks!

See "AutoComplete Does Not Save Username and Password"
(http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306895) and "How to Use the
AutoComplete Feature in Internet Explorer 5 and 6"

Thank you for your quick reply.
I performed all the suggested remedies however only (1) of my secure sites
produced the "do you want windows to remember your ID and password"?
The other (2) secure sites that I visit daily, didn't create the password
box asking to remember the ID and password!
The mysteries of the computer world and the Microsoft operating system are
never simple.

Try this:
Internet Explorer
Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet(or Intranet if
internal company site)>Custom Level>Prompt for Username
and Password(at bottom of list)
When you return to that site the logon box should appear.

I would thank you profusely if anything changed after diligently following
your latest suggestions but nothing changed!
The 2 sites that needed the ID and password entered previously are still
being totally belligerent as before!
