Dear People,

I recently rebooted my machine, after loading some new software, and mistakenly hit administrator as the user account to log in...

The system appears to show that I am logged in as Administrator but never completes loading and boot up.

When I reboot, the choose a user screen flashes very quickly and then proceeds with Administrator as User.

Any suggestions on how to enable the choose a user screen...?

My Windows 10 build should be up to date, have auto update selected, but don't know specific build.

thanks in advance

I appreciate the suggestion, but I was not able to find a way to boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10. Your information is helpful but in my case, I was never able to load Windows 10...when I rebooted, it would automatically log in as Administrator
While I don't know why, my dilemna seems to have resolved itself....after letting the PC run on the Welcome Screen for an hour or more...I clicked around and got a message that the logon (as Administrator) could not be completed.

A few more clicks and I got an option to log in as myself, a humble user....So crisis averted...still a mystery, but less pressing..

Hello again

I am glad that you found the solution.

For future reference, you can boot Windows in Safe Mode externally, i.e. using Windows 10 repair or installation disc/USB. The method is described in the second section of the tutorial I shared the link of. :)

Cheers!!
