Log on failure

I have a problem with my Gigabyte laptop windows 7.it turns on but I can't log in.small box appears on screen "interactive logon process initialization failed.
Please consult the event log for more details" .please help good people

Are you using an admin account , a user account, or a guest account?

More information needed: What do you do and when does the small box appear on the screen?

What do you do next - what options, if any, are provided?

Are you able to post an image of the screen?
