Hello people,

I am concerned about my computer's O.S. I got home and logged in today like I've done a million times before, and it stated "starting up widows" followed by "preparing windows" followed by a prompt page asking me if I wanted to set up a PIN number. I skipped the prompt, and it asked me if I wanted to sync everything to a cloud. I selected to keep everything local, and then it loaded up. Except that my desktop was default, and my startup menu tiles where default. I got scared and looked up my computer's drive with file explorer. All of my information is there, and my programs are all on my computer in the programs section and they all work. For some reason though, Windows 10 didn't load my settings properly. Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon that my data's there, but I still don't like this bug. As far as I know I haven't updated anything (though I can't be sure about the auto updater), I built the computer myself and installed all the programs (there were no issues), and my computer has been working perfectly up until today. I ran a virus scan, even though I didn't think it would detect anything. My computer is totally clean. I only built it a month or two ago and I didn't have the money to buy drives for backing up my data yet. I hope someone can help me figure out what happened and give me a solution that doesn't involve any data loss.

Thanks

Update:
I foolishly waited to "restart" my computer until after I wrote this message, but after the restart it seems to be working normally again. I think Windows had partially installed an update that was screwing with my system. Still though... scary bug. I'll update again if something else happens, but for now it looks good. Thanks, and I hope this can help someone else.
