Ok hi there. So a little backstory here quick. I just bought lego starwars II, because it basicly was my childhood. But when i came home. I had bit plugged in the OD(optical drive) so i had to rearange a lot of cables, Thus, i had to unplug the ssd and hdd sata power cable. I plugge in the sata power cable to the OD, SSD, and the HDD.

But when i start the computer. The loadup feels very slow, so i think to my self, did i just boot up the os from the hdd. (FYI i had windows 8 on the hdd and windows 10 on the ssd) when it finnished loading i get a little suspicius, even tho i arrive at the windows 10 sign in/password thing screen. I retart it and access the UEFI and go to boot options. I found boot order i think it was called... Or boot options but it was atleast like 3 tabs with boot options #1, #2 and #3 on the top it says windows boot manager. Since i dident really know what that was, and maby was the source of the long boot up time. I switched up my ssd to #1 ( i think this is boot priority, corect me if i am wrong). But when i boot with my ssd at #1 i boot from the hdd, windows 8. I go to the EUFI again and change the windows boot manager and ssd back to normal. Now i get to windows. But the backgroukd is all changed. And there is a much older version of my desktop if you know what i meen. I then go to check my user. I click on the OS Drive (ssd) and i see that the user i am in now, Is the ssd wich i havent used in a long time. I have been using the os to boot. But then a user on the hdd, because thats where all my games are. When i go to the hdd and the users. I see a user called user. I go to the desktop tab (in windows explorer), and that is the user i had used before. Because i remeber i had just my games on the desktop. Wich i found on this hdd.

So if i wanna boot from my ssd. Must windows boot manager be first in the order, and then the drive i want to boot from at #2?

How can u make it so when i log in, I log in to that user that i have been using? Ya'Know, all my games are on the drive that the user is on. Or would i ve easier to just copy the shortcuts for the games an placing them on the ssd user. So the loaduptime is reduced? Will it be noticable?

Sorry for the long post.

In short please revert to the older set of boot options i.e: Windows Boot Manger, SSD and lastly the HDD but Windows Boot Manager must be first. Read here for more info. If your user files are missing then the files may very well have been removed/deleted as the SSD can be in a state of deep hibernation. You could try and use a data recovery tool to retrieve your data but it's not a guaranteed one shot solution.

* regarding the foot note, 😀

I presume you will retrieve all your data once you log in with your previous credentials.
