I get error code IRQL_Unexpected_value on the bluescreen. It crashes on Chrome, FireFox and Edge.

Any help would be appreciated..

Solution

If you have Killer Network Manager, disable "Enable Advanced Stream Detection", it works for me.

I have done a full Avast scan. Any other scans you suggest?

This has come up for the 10 days or so. It must have something to do with Windows 10 latest updates and certain hardware configurations. My Lenovo laptop isn't affected, but my Alienware is.

Same thing happening here, it's really screwing up my windows installation. keep having to repair it.

I have a razer blade 2017 and am using windows defender as security. Happens using chrome and and edge. Have run full virus and malware scans, nothing found.

Turned off windows defender protection and stil same issue.

Also had a few other BSoD's recently when downloading from steam and also when trying to use a bluetooth headset. This paypal issue is the most consistent though.

Hope someone at MS can hear about this and issue a fix.

Hi,

i had the same issues on my Razer blade 2017 (as mentioned in my previous comment). I ran some software called "Whocrashed" to analyse the system dump files. It gave me the following analysis

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crash Dump Analysis
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crash dump directory: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer.

On Wed 26/07/2017 18:28:04 your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\072617-9937-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x16C4C0)
Bugcheck code: 0xC8 (0x0, 0x2, 0x0, 0x0)
Error: IRQL_UNEXPECTED_VALUE
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that the processor's IRQL is not what it should be at this time.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: ndisrfl.sys (Intel(R) Technology Access Filter Driver, Intel Corporation).
Google query: Intel Corporation IRQL_UNEXPECTED_VALUE

Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

ndisrfl.sys (Intel(R) Technology Access Filter Driver, Intel Corporation)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also found this thread related to this driver:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3332006/bsod-ndisrfl-sys-driver-verifier.html

So am going try updating it to see if it works.

What Alienware do you have? It might be the same hardware combination as our Razer laptops

I am having the same issue on my Razer Blade 2017 as others in the thread, tried turning off defender, etc. Nothing worked...

Did you find a solution? I am having the saame problem now as well...

In my Alienware case, it was caused by Intel® Wireless-AC 3165.

To solved it, I uninstalled Intel(R) Technology Access Filter Drive into card properties.

Hope it can help 😉
