Login box disappears after password input

Hi there,

Over the last week I've had a problem in which after booting my PC, I put in my (correct) PIN, and the box disappears but no 'Welcome' text shows up, and the PC doesn't do anything (no HDD activity) for about forty seconds until it suddenly bursts into motion and logs me in as normal.

It isn't frozen because the lock screen resumes (comes back up) after thirty seconds as if nothing has been put in.

I've not installed any programs since the problem started happening. There are no other issues except delayed sign in.

I'd really appreciate any help

Have you ran a Antivirus / malware + CCleaner scan recently?

Yes, ran Malwarebytes, ESET Nod32 and CCleaner all yesterday
