i had this head set for 2 or 3 years and it been working fine but recently its been cutting out and switching between my monitor speakers and the head set i tried unplugging it and back in but when i did it completely stopped working i tried keeping it unplugged until i restarted my computer and after It rebooted I plugged it in and nothing happened

P.S the software is up to date I am also using a windows 8.0 8 GBs of ram pc

So understanding correctly, You have the headset hooked up to the LCD, instead of computer itself? Do You have onboard soundcard, or dedicated one? Btw. You have Windows 8.0, or 8.1?

i have windows 8.0 I had the headset plugged in to a usb line in witch plugged in to the back of my PC i also have an on board sound card i also have an LCD btw i have a samsung TV as a monitor here is a picture of my exact TV/monitor http://www.clickbd.com/global/classified/item_img/831070_0_original.jpg

You could try to google bios update withou CPU. Some of the motherboards did support it in the past. Btw. today I brought two GTX 970 Strix from one local shop for a clients computer, and one of them was rattling like hell. I was so desperate. It came out it was scraping towards power cable that is badly engineered inside the cooler. My point is, don't give up just yet...
