Logitech G230 Headset Issues

Hi all,

I just got a this headest (Logitech G230) and everything is great save for the mic not working.

I have Windows 10. Everything is plugged in correctly, I have tried again and again to change settings, and I have even tried rolling back the driver but it won't let me. The gain is all the way up, this uses the Realtek drivers already on my pc (it's a pink/green plug in, not USB).

I would appreciate any help or advice with this. All I want to do is Skype/play TF2.

Right click on the volume mixer and select recording devices. Make sure the headset is set as the default communication device and that the microphone isn't disabled.

The microphone that is on the headset is the only one enabled right now. I've even tried setting it up on speech recognition, too. Cortana hears me but when I'm on Skype, my friends say I'm really quiet :/

Have you downloaded Logitech's Gaming Software program? I don't know if it would recognize your headset since it isn't USB but that has a volume mixer within it. Also, if you right click on the microphone on your device list you should be able to boost the sound from it.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been a bit busy these past few days.

Anyway, all I had to do was switch the driver from Realtek to Intel. I also now have Logitech's game client, which also helps with this. Thank you very much for your time.
