Logitech G302 Gaming Mouse

So my MB is a Gigabyte X99-SLI. It has USB 2.0, 3.0 & PS2 ports. Does this particular USB mouse care if it's plugged into the PS2 port? Logitech's User Manual & forum are somewhere south of hideous.

*EDIT Grr! Now I'm wondering. My NEW MB manual say's it has (2) PS2 Ports also. (1) Keyboard- Green & (1) Mouse- Blue. But aren't ALL PS2 ports round pin thingers?? These are USB shaped.

** EDIT EDIT Grr! Grr! Okay solved that- me being stupid. Now the question is- does it matter if this USB mouse plugs into a USB 2.0/1.1 DAC OR a 3.0/2.0 port? Installing a $80.00 mouse should not be this difficult, bordering on rocket science!

Do you not have a free usb port? You could always buy a cheap usb hub to plug in your non essential stuff. I know that doesn't specifically answer your question, but I imagine you'd find it easier just to get more usb ports.

All PS2 ports are circular and have little holes in it. If the port looks like a USB port, it is a USB port. The mouse does not care if it is plugged into USB 2.0 or 3.0
