Logitech G402 or Razer Deathadder?

Which one would you prefer and why? I am sort of stuck in a decision between those two mice 😛 I can't decide, as I prefer the aesthetics of the G402 and apparently the Deathadder is smoother?? What would you recommend for somebody with no mousepad, using polished wood table and very little mouse space?

And according to a few of my friends and quite a bit of Razer users the new Razer mice have bad build quality and break very easily? Is that true? I am sort of stuck between these two mice here.

And the Steelseries Sensei is really overpriced over here so that isn't an option as much as I want to have it 🙁

Go with the deathadder, you're going to get better performance for a lower price.

I am a personal Logitech Fan. And while Razer devices are good, I hate the drivers. You have to have an internet connection for some things to work. And before you get the interchangable DPI feature, you'll need Synappse.

But some have prefered the smoother feel of the Deathadder over the G400 mouse, and the G402 is basically a remade version. So it might be the same in this instance.

Both have around the same reports per second rates so I would imagine it's up to aesthetics and money in this case for your choice haha. Over performance.

Appreciate the replies! Well, I do prefer the "Tron" look of the G402 over the Deathadder as I do not have any green pheriphals. Also the Deathadder is only $5 more expensive over here, so that isn't really a problem!

My current mouse gives me issues in FPS games, particularly in long distance aiming/sniping. The slightest movement always goes overboard no matter how hard I try, and it always seems to be jittery when in intense long distance aiming.

I am also a very CAREFUL gamer, I treat everything with care lol. I don't smash the keyboard or bang buttons notoriously in MOBA games. And I always keep my things properly. So from my experience with Logitech I know that they will always have DURABLE products. But I have never used a Razer before. Are they good build quality?

Well I have never personally had a problem, but I've seen many people have a few problems with damaging the optical sensor sometimes with dropping the mouse. And some friends of mine have cracked the casing in transit to LAN's. But then again, it isn't my personal experience.

I have a Razer Naga 2014 MMO mouse. And that's fallen on all sorts of things. No problems so far.

I have had a Razer Deathadder for the past 5 years and it has been treated like shit, and i have had no problems with it until just recently where it sometimes double clicks but that's it. The Deathadder is definitely worth it

Well, The Logitech G402 is $42 while the Deathadder is $50 in my country 😛 Then again there's the 2400 DPI version of the Deathadder with no backlight that's only $30? What is the difference between the non backlight one with low DPI and the normal ones?

Razer's build quality is second to none, I have been using my Razer Naga for over 4 years now, I also have the Razer Blackwidow and have never once had an issue with either. you get what you pay for, if you want a throw away mouse then any old one will due, however if you want one that will last hour after hour of hard core gaming then any mouse you get from razer will work great.

Just bought a death adder on the 7/10. Really liking it.
Price DA $ 44 vs G400s $45.
most reviews say the DA and G400s are about equal... HOWEVER they dont mention the DA is usually twice the price.

I usually go for value, and would go for G400s based on quality (20 million clicks, 3 yr warranty, 8 programmable buttons, 9/10 quality performance, 6/10 ergonomics)
HOWEVER in this case i went for DA (10/10 performance, lighter, braided cord, 10 mil clicks, 2 yr warranty, 9/10 ergonomics cause my hands are small but the feel is super awesome) due being the same price, whereas usually its double the price.

I treat all my electronics well. The feel of DA is delicious, I leave my hand on it even when im not clicking cause i like rubbing it.
I move my mouse in a 5 cm diameter circle.
the braided cable means u will find it easy to tuck the cable away in your small space.
The complaints about the DA I have taken with a grain of salt. most of the complainers treat their mouse shit, like dropping it, throwing it, mangling the cord, biting it. If your a responsible adult, and do not punch it/slam it down every time u lose a match, i predict it will last AT LEAST 2.5 years (probably longer). the logitech maybe a year longer.

I suggest you make a mousepad. I used a coloured manila cardboard folder and sticky taped it to the table. Protects the table, the feet of the mouse, does not take up space nor move.

i have a g402 and it is quite nice and cheap in my country
my friend has the deathadder and i really would want to try one too but sadly is is so overpriced in my country compared to the g402 🙁 (rm149 for g402, rm 230 for deathadder)
i suggest you try out both before making your choice

p.s. you should get a cheap mouse pad, even a bad one is better than no mousepad

I found a G502 for RM175, so I got it instead. And I can say, I'm lovin it. It's amazing.

I am a competitive counter-strike player and I have used the Razer Death Adder for more than 8 years.

I've had three deathadders break on me. Always mouse1 switch. Never under a lot of stress (besides me using 1.4 sens @ 400 dpi).

I switched to the Logitech G402s and I've never been happier. I've only used DA since 2007, and after about a week the swap wasn't that noticeable.

The G402s feels a lot lighter than the DA (not sure about actual difference)

The G402s comes with an extra thumb button, DPI switcher, and I'm finally free from Razer Synapse. Also looks like its from the future

After a year of careful use, my Razer mouse had a mechanical problem (which I believe razer mouse products are prone to) went crazy and very annoying as heck like single click turns to double clicks. I thought is was just an issue with the driver so i went to reinstalling the driver, update driver, etc but the same problem! It messed up my gaming experience so I had no choice but to replace it with other brand.

P.S. Not gonna buy a Razer mouse anymore, though their gaming keyboards are good quality.

Lot of ppl have issues with DA2013 but those that don't will be loving it and you can easily search for solutions for double clicking prob (you'll need to remove the mouse hardware) but DA is more of a all around mouse that suits any game and the G402 is more on FPS and perhaps Moba's in the end it depends on your personal likings and type of games you play

Well... from logitech the best mouse is the g303
if your grip is fingergrip or claw...this mouse is sent from heaven i use it for palm as well...
if you ask pros they prefer the lightweight and better performing g303 over the g502 and g402...
now for your answer i'd go with logitech in general... bscly i already did i owned all 3 and 1 from razer, the ''competitive mice''
and i love the g303... for cs go you need to have very low dpi to increase accuracy and need to have very lightweight mouse to move it fast... i think if someone had and could test all 4 of them they would go with the g303... also the censor from g502 and g303 is smoother than the da's i hope that helped.

do logictech . they automaticly update drivers . plus you get to customize your dpi within the software . Also there warranty last much more longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
